The Lick Creek Park BioBlitz is a nature outreach event at the Lick Creek Park Nature Center in College Station, Texas. Teams of student volunteers go on a 24 hour surveying excursion, where they observe and record as many of the native wildlife as they can. These surveying trips will allow you to learn about field biology from upper level graduate students specializing in herpetology, mammalogy, ornithology, entomology and horticulture. After the surveying is complete, each team will have booths to present their findings. Local Organizations such as the Texas Master Naturalists, the Urban Interface, and the Native Plant Society of Texas will also be present. Live animals and interactive exhibits will teach people of all ages about the fantastic biodiversity of the Brazos Valley area in a fun and engaging way!
