I teach two courses in the Department of Wildlife &
Fisheries Sciences.
During the Spring semester, I teach WFSC 428 and during the Fall semester,
I teach WFSC 628. Course descriptions for both are provided below and
links to course syllabi and calendars can be accessed through course links. WFSC 428 (Syllabus) (Calendar):
Wetland Ecosystem Management (3 lecture hours, 3 lab hours; 4 credits)
Ecosystem approach to the ecology and management of wetlands; emphasis
on factors controlling wetland structure and function, characteristics
of different wetland types, and applied issues of wetland restoration,
creation, and delineation. Prerequisite: Junior or Senior classification.
Field trips required.
WFSC 628 (Syllabus) (Calendar):
Wetland Ecology (3 lecture hours, 0 lab hours; 3 credits)
Wetlands as ecological systems that are prime habitat for wildlife and
fish; geomorphology, hydrology, limnology, plant and animal communities,
and human use and management. Prerequisite: WFSC 403 or RLEM 316 or equivalent.
Field trips likely.
